About GUPSA

Griffith University Postgraduate Student Association (GUPSA)  is the representative organisation for all postgraduate and research students at Griffith University. GUPSA represents postgraduate students enrolled at Logan, Mt Gravatt, Nathan, Queensland College of Art, and the Queensland Conservatorium.

We provide services to assist postgraduates to succeed in and enjoy their studies, through representation, lobbying, researching, networking, professional development, and organising social and cultural activities.

As a postgraduate student you are automatically eligible to be a ‘non-financial’ member of our association. Postgraduate students who pay a nominated Student Services and Facilities (SSAF) fee to the university are financial members.

We are funded, in part, through directly paid postgraduate SSAF fees.

Our Mission

    • To identify and service the common needs and interests of postgraduates at Griffith University.
    • To represent postgraduates as a special interest group in the University and the community generally, both through direct representation within the University and affiliation with organisations which seek to articulate this objective.
    • To provide communication between postgraduates across faculties through information-sharing and activities of social, cultural, intellectual and professional interest.
    • To administer and use such funds as may be made available to GUPSA.
