GUPSA Editing Workshops

Confused about the difference between a colon and a semicolon? Want to know how to use a comma properly? And what’s a dangling modifier?! Join our editors, Maureen Butler and Michelle Roberts, for a series of 4 two-hour workshops to go through some of the basic parts of speech, grammar, and punctuation.

These are the fundamental building blocks to good writing, and many of the most experienced academics are guilty of misusing them! Learn how to make your writing more active, concise, and interesting to read in this hands-on workshop.

Our online workshops are held on Tuesdays from 10am-12:30pm:

  • 26 April – GUPSA Editing Workshop Power of Punctuation 1
  • 3 May – GUPSA Editing Workshop Power of Punctuation 2
  • 10 May – GUPSA Editing Workshop Sentence Structure, Language, Tone, Referencing
  • 17 May – GUPSA Editing Workshop Productive Editing
