Melanie Jones

Womens Officer

My name is Melanie Jones, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Music Education with Honours. I am currently studying toward a Juris Doctor degree with a strong interest in entertainment law.

As Women’s Officer, I aim to provide fair representation and supportive opportunities for all women-identifying postgraduate students across Griffith. I am very passionate about human rights, education, and equality. Outside of university, I love to travel, do yoga, and play the drums! I am an international student from the United States, and Australia has been my home since 2018.

I am very excited for this opportunity to grow in my leadership and advocacy skills, and hope to use my position to uplift the Griffith postgraduate community. Regardless of your identity, please do not hesitate to reach out to me in person or via social media with questions, suggestions, or for a simple chat!
