Last night, PhD girls from different schools enjoyed a wine together. Research and academia aside, the topic turned to fashion. I like fashion, and many times I would like to have the money to buy the cool clothes I see and bring up enough motivation in the mornings to make my hair look pretty. In real life, training before uni, tutoring sports and cycling to uni combined with a decent amount of morning sleepiness make me go to uni dressed casually. The other girls seemed surprised by this fact.
Yes, you read that right: I love LSD. LSD stands for Long Slow Distance. My friends still complain that not even one year ago, I would only raise my eyebrows when they asked me to run for more than 5 km.
I did the big wrong thing: I updated my software. – and I shouldn’t have. It was one of those days without deadline or meetings. Instead it was a day after having discovered $3 G&T at that one bar. I had not had enough sleep. I imagined blankly staring at a screen was just what I needed. When do you get to do that? Right. During software updates.

I had not been out to bars/clubs in ages. So when Easter weekend rolled in, my date cancelled and birthdays needed to be celebrated, I got into my LBD (yes, the little black dress), put on the highest heels I could find in my closet and stalked my resulting 185 cm down this dark residential street in my quiet neighbourhood.
