The temperatures have dropped and the 2016 running season is at its peak. GUPSA will continue last two years’ tradition and take part in a Bridge to Brisbane 10km running event. Let’s take our minds off of our studies for a moment and nurture our well-being and socialising through an active lifestyle!
GUPSA is holding a free 1 day Masterclass, Becoming Your Best Self – Using Buddhist psychology to overcome depression and anxiety. It will be held on Monday 6 June 9am-5pm at the EcoCentre, Nathan campus. The Masterclass will examine how anxiety and depression function and what can be done to overcome them.
This Saturday 9 May 2015, GUPSA, together with the Brisbane Student and Community Alliance and Reclaim the Night, are holding a community picnic and memorial event at Kurilpa Park, South Brisbane, 2:30- 5:30pm, for students and the general public, both to honour and commemorate the victims of street violence in our communities, and to raise awareness about safety.
It’s now been about nine months since the GUPSA editing service began, and I’ve had a chance to meet numerous students (sometimes several times!) and note some trends.
