GUPSA One-day writing retreat, Friday 16 February 2018
Calling all writers! Are you currently working on your thesis chapter or a journal article? Do you need some motivation and assistance to boost your writing? If so, you are welcome to join us at a one-day writing retreat at the Eco Centre (N68) Nathan campus on Friday 16 February.
The event is limited, on a “first comes first served” basis, to 40 postgraduate Griffith students, HDR and coursework students with a major research component, who are currently working on their dissertation or on a journal article. The retreat will comprise time allocated to independent writing sessions supplemented by short presentations delivered by Griffith staff during morning and afternoon tea breaks. Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) tutors will also be available for individual consultations concerning writing and structure. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea will be provided.
You must register for the retreat by 9 February and you can do so here. Registrations close 9 February or if we reach 40 before then.
The writing retreat will take place on Friday 16 February between 9am and 4:15pm.
Please arrive by 8:45 for a 9am start.
What you need:
- A clear idea for writing at the retreat
- Laptop, charging cable
- Notes, any reading material
- Extension cord and power board if available
- Anything else you may need for comfortable writing
