GUPSA Special General Meeting 27 October

Griffith University Postgraduate Students Association is holding a Special General Meeting.

Thursday 27 October

Starting 4:45pm

Function Room, Unibar, N71, Nathan Campus, Griffith University

All currently enrolled postgraduate students at Logan, Mt Gravatt, Nathan, Southbank campuses are eligible to attend and vote

The purpose of the meeting is to vote on the following motion:

Motion 1:

That the proposed new constitution for GUPSA be adopted

Rationale: The current constitution is out of date and either contradicts current operations of both the organisation and the university or is irrelevant to current organisational and university procedures. The current GUPSA constitution has not been reviewed since 2003.

Proxy forms are available, if you can’t attend the AGM but still want a vote, and are available by emailing m.carden@griffith.edu.au. Under the constitution, a person eligible to vote at the meeting cannot hold more than five proxies. Proxies can be submitted at the meeting or prior at the GUPSA office, Student Associations and Clubs (N28) Nathan.

The Special General Meeting will be followed by GUPSA’s End of Semester party. The party will kick off immediately the SGM is finished and will be held in the Function Room to finish by 10pm. Soulelectrics will be playing on the night from 6pm.

As usual we will be putting on some free food and some free drinks. We need you to RSVP for catering purposes so please email your support officer, Michael Carden at m.carden@griffith.edu.au, advising any dietary requirements, by 5pm 21 October.
