Geoff Ebbs
Sustainability Officer
I am a sustainability advocate, author and broadcaster. My latest book, Your Life Your Planet, provides step by step advice to householders about reducing their footprint. It is currently being summarised in double page spreads for Australian Geographic.
I have been tutoring Business and Computer Programming into the Design School at Griffith University for 6 years. My background is technology, media and environmental engineering and I’m the author of four books and the publisher and editor of many more. This background in media and business brought me to Griffith from industry in 2015 and I have completed a Masters of Interactive Media in 2018 and begun a PhD at Griffith Business School’s Business Strategy and Innovation in 2020.
I’m actively involved in various sustainability projects at Griffith University and in the community, including broadcasting EcoRadio on 4ZZZfm, regularly interviewing academics for radio, and my blog and mentoring businesses with Qld Department of Small Business. My background in mediation, facilitation and management provides significant experience in identifying and working through problems to find solutions and accommodate a variety of interests. I hope that experience will be useful in representing HDR candidates and coursework postgrad students at Griffith.
