I am Kanchana Wijesekera, an international PhD candidate at the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, School of Environment and Science. I am a university lecturer with over 12 years of academic experience. I have always had a passion to help and support students and the community. Being The carer’s officer of GUPSA will enable me to address specific issues affecting postgraduate students with caring responsibilities and make recommendations. Further, I will bring postgraduate students with caring responsibilities together to better elicit their ideas and represent them at GUPSA.
