Narelle Hawken
Womens Officer
Welcome everyone! My name is Narelle, and I am looking forward to my new role as a Womenโs Officer at GUPSA. I am an avid advocate for women in business and have supported growth and development over the past 15 years in this area. I am an honest, caring, and considerate person who takes on any challenge with both hands. For this, I feel that I will advocate for you and assist you with any concerns. I solve problems.
Serving four years in the rewarding position of a judge for the Illawarra Women in Business has clenched my commitment to assisting women following their dream or aspirations and reaping the awards and achievements.ย
Currently, I am a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) student, due to complete in March 2022, and also undertaking my post-graduate Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) accreditation in Human Resources Management. As a fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders (FIML), I am heavily committed to transitional & thought leadership for impactful change, endorsed through the Chartered Managers accreditation program I am presently completing. The Australian Institute Company Directors (MAICD) membership connects my governance experience and business knowledge through continued program development. My Treasury roles for various sporting clubs in the Illawarra, typically dominated by men, have gained women and me recognition and support to lead sporting committees. I am here for you, Griffith University Postgraduate students, and if you need someone to listen to you and be there for you, I am here.
