Reb Madsen

Online Officer

As an online student, I look forward to the opportunity to connect with my fellow GUPSA board members and offer my skills for the benefit of online students and the University. All of my tertiary qualifications are from Griffith University and span three faculties (Arts, Business and Education). I completed my Bachelor of Communication (PR, Journalism, Media) in 2000, my Graduate Certificate in e-Marketing  in 2010 and I’m currently working towards my Master of Primary Teaching. During my 15-year career as a marketing and communications consultant I was responsible for conceiving, planning and managing the implementation of a range of online projects for small enterprise and large-scale government clients. In this role, my work mostly consisted of website builds, writing content for online publication, community and customer engagement and lots of email marketing campaigns. The most challenging, rewarding and inspirational project that I worked on was the Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project (now known as the G:Link) back when it was just an idea in the minds of a few people with grand visions. More recently, I have decided to switch career paths and am currently working towards my Master of Primary Teaching.
